Supported by Stanbic Bank and powered through FlexiPay, the festival offered seamless transactions, discounts, and playful activities alongside Ray G’s live band finale, celebrating Uganda’s music, culture, and youthful spirit.
Kampala’s Millennium Grounds pulsed with energy on Saturday as OBA Fest 2025 brought Uganda’s music and culture to life. From the first beat to the final encore, festival-goers were swept up in a celebration that blended live performances, interactive games, and the irresistible buzz of a crowd united in rhythm and dance.
On stage, the night was a showcase of Ugandan talent. Kapeke and Tracy Mellon set the pace early, warming the audience with infectious beats, while Vinka had fans singing along to familiar hits. But it was Ray G who closed the evening with a live band set that turned the grounds into one big dance floor, leaving everyone caught between awe and exhilaration. DJs Eyo Marcus, DJ Buggie, and Roja kept the momentum flowing, mixing contemporary tracks with local rhythms like Binyanya and Kadodi, sparking waves of impromptu dance battles across the festival.
Beyond the music, OBA Fest offered festival-goers a playful side with interactive game zones. Basketball shootouts, table football, chess, and snakes and ladders added a lighthearted counterpoint to the pulsating stage performances, giving attendees a chance to engage, compete, and laugh alongside friends. Food and drink stalls dotted the grounds, offering affordable treats and fueling the energy that carried the night forward.
By the time the lights dimmed, it was clear that OBA Fest had achieved more than entertainment. It had become a space where Ugandan creativity, culture, and community converged, leaving both performers and attendees with lasting memories of a night where music and play met in perfect harmony.
