Airbus achieves 16.5pc of 2025 delivery target at the end of March
European airplane maker Airbus, pressed ahead with its target of delivering 820 commercial aircraft this year, handing over 136 aircraft to 49 customers during the first three months of 2025. The quarterly tally however represented a 4pc dip on 2024 Q1, when deliveries stood at 142 aircraft .
More than half of the deliveries for the period (71 a/c to 37 customers) came during March. Single aisles accounted for 90pc of deliveries with the A320/321 line making up 75pc of that.
Gross orders for the period stood at 211 units representing a 24pc gain over the 170 logged for the same period in 2024. In its guidance for 2025, Airbus’ has indicated a delivery target of 820 aircraft for the year, 7.0pc up on the 766 it delivered in 2024.
However, achieving that target is still subject to supply chain challenges and the unstable geopolitical environment triggered by US President Donald Trump’s global tariff war.
