TAAG Angola plots August 2, return to Brazzaville
Angola’s TAAG Angola Airlines, has announced the resumption of services between Luanda and Brazzaville the capita of the Republic of Congo, starting August 2, 2024.
The route which will be operated using a Dash-8 400, will replace the current Luanda-Point Noire service. TAAG has scheduled the last service to Point Noire for July 26.
“From August 2, 2024, the connection between Angola and the Republic of Congo will be made via Luanda-Brazzaville in substitution of the Luanda-Point Noire route, whose last flight is scheduled for July 26 this year,” the flag carrier said in a statement.
The route will initially be served twice a week with a departure from Luanda on Friday and Sunday, using a 74 seat Dash-8 400, configured to 10 passengers in Business Class and 64 in Economy Class.
“Brazzaville is the largest city in the Republic of Congo, aggregating key economic/industrial activity and services,” making it an attractive destination for leisure and corporate travel.
“From a network planning perspective, the Angola – Republic of Congo link, via Brazzaville, will provide TAAG with greater connectivity and traffic within the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC),” the carrier said. Bookings are already open across the distribution networks.
Implementing an aggressive fleet growth plan, TAAG serves a network of 11 domestic and 12 international destinations.
