MTN taking Samsung S7 orders now

KAMPALA, MARCH11- MTN Uganda has began taking preorders for the Samsung S7 and 7S Edge, latest iteration of the hot selling Galaxy series, ahead of  a formal launch of the product next week.

256BN has learnt that the South Korean electronics giant has selected MTN Uganda as the telco partner who will be offering different consumer packages with the devices.

The S7 which offers incremental upgrades on the S6 went on sale today in South Korea and other markets.

Although prices at which the devices will be retailing in the Ugandan market were not immediately available, information from Taipei one of the markets where the S7 went on sale today indicate that the Galaxy S7 32GB was selling atUS$727 unlocked, while the Galaxy 7S Edge 32GB is priced at US$818.
