Urban ends 5-year wait for DStv
KAMPALA, MAY 04 – Just three weeks after mounting Buganda Kingdom linked broadcaster BBS-Terefayina on its platforms, Multichoice Africa today added more to its Ugandan bouquet by signing up Vision group’s Urban Tv and TV West.
The duo joined their sister station Bukedde Tv which has been available on Multichoice’s East Africa programming for four years now.
Vision Group Ceo Robert Kabushenga said once the company sorts out the restrictions on programming, Ugandans in Kenya and Tanzania will be able to access the channels from DStv.
“Promoting local content is a vital commitment for us as Multichoice. Our aim is to continually support the growth and development of African television industry,” said MultiChoice Uganda General Manager Charles Hamya.
