Uganda Airlines starts hiring
September 04, 2018- Uganda’s comeback flag-carrier, Uganda Airlines, has started inviting applications for key positions. According information on its online recruitment portal www.careers.ugandairlines.com, the link became active on August 24, when the first positions were posted.
So far, 35 positions, mainly managerial are available across eight departments. Positions for cabin crew and drivers have also been advertised but the required number is not indicated.
There are also positions for Chief Pilot, Captain and First Officers but the required type ratings are not indicated.
While applicants are advised to directly post their applications online, the link to that function is not active.
Uganda Airlines expects begin taking delivery of the first examples on an order for four CRJ-900’s during the first quarter of 2019. The short term fleet is expected to reach six aircraft towards the end of 2020, when a pair of Airbus A330-800neo’s join the fleet.
The first commercial flight is tentatively set for April 2019.
