Tourism Uganda takes Luwombo, Uganda Waragi to Berlin

Uganda Tourism Board UTB will on Thursday March 5, introduce Ugandan cuisine and the world famous gin, Uganda Waragi, to an international audience. The servings will form part of the menu during the Ugandan evening that will take place on the sidelines of the Berlin International Tourism Bourse ITB that opens in Berlin on Monday.
“We cordially invite you to spend a Ugandan evening with us and the representatives from Uganda”, reads the invite to the cultural gala that will take place in the Hong Kong room at the ITB fair grounds from six in the evening .The three hour event will showcase Uganda’s wildlife, landscapes and culture to invited guests.
“Look forward to authentic food, taste the typical Waragi-Gin, take a small break from the buzzing ITB with traditional music and dance and enjoy the typical kindness of Uganda,” UTB has promised guests.
ITB Berlin is the biggest tourism marketing event in the world, offering tourism promoters a unique opportunity to market destinations. It is also a platform where the travel trade ink deals with source markets to the destinations they represent.
Europe is Uganda’s traditional source market but ITB and the World Travel Market that takes place in London every November provide a foothold to tap into the global tourism market.
