Angolan flag carrier TAAG has entered a 5-year contract with Air France Industries KLM Engineering and Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M), for the provision of pool and repair component support and main base kit for the formers B777 fleet. Luanda based TAAG operates a fleet of five B77.300s and three 777-200.

Hailed as “symbolising the growing relationship between the two companies,” the agreement announced today in a press release datelined Addis Ababa, is the first such deal between AFI KLM E&M and TAAG.

TAAG Angola chief executive officer Nelson de Oliveira, said the agreement gives the carrier “access reliable and efficient maintenance of our Boeing 777 fleet, which is crucial for our operations.”

Géry Mortreux, executive vice president at Air France Industries said the partnership the partnership will help “to deepen our footprint in Africa and expand our reach in the region.”
