At Outbox, we train them and impart in them the confidence that is needed to sell their ideas further. Even the ones that do not make it at least get exposure on ground and they get experience on how they can package their ideas better,” Solomon Opio the Oubox Capacity Development Lead said.
Mr. Wayne Cook, the head of business Banking at Stanbic Uganda who sponsoring the event said while Uganda aspires to expand and diversify its revenue base, that is directly linked to enterprise development and growth.
“The selected startup that will represent Uganda in Geneva in 2017 will have the potential to not only win at the finals but also become key players in the national and international marketplace. As Stanbic Bank, we support the development of small businesses, as they have the potential to grow the economy, provide employment and bring innovation to the business community,” he said.
