Qatar Airways launches free on board Wi-Fi
KAMPALA December 15– Qatar Airways has announced complimentary Wi-Fi access to passengers across its fleet. The airline says starting December 17, passengers on enables aircraft will be allowed 15 minutes of free access to the onboard Wi-Fi network. Those that wish to remain connected will buy data in bundles starting at $5 for one hour, $10 for three hours and $20 for unlimited access for those that may wish to stay connected for the entire duration of the flight.
For now, on-board Wi-Fi is available on all A380, A350, B787, A319, and select A320 and A330 aircraft. On the ground, Qatar Airways’ new state-of-the-art hub, Hamad International Airport, already offers guests on the ground free Wi-Fi before travel or during transit.
Guests in Qatar Airways First Class cabin on board the airline’s A380 will enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi for the duration of their trip.

By offering customers the chance to stay connected whilst flying, Qatar Airways is demonstrating its promise to offer a premium service to all customers,” Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker said.
