Plascon seals West Nile presence with new Colour Hero Store in Arua
Paints and coatings giant Plascon Uganda, has teamed up with major distributor Precious Impex, to open a new Colour Hero Store in Arua City — a strategic move aimed at consolidating its footprint in the West Nile region.
The grand opening on April 10 drew more than 100 members of the Arua Plascon Painters Forum, alongside dignitaries, business leaders, and members of the local community. Among the prominent guests were Arua City Mayor His Worship Sam Wadri Nyakua, Resident City Commissioner Salim Komakech, and Mr. Pretesh Kotesha, Head of the Indian community in Arua.
Located within the Precious Impex premises, the new Colour Hero Store is designed to deliver a comprehensive, customer-centric experience, focused exclusively on paint and colour solutions. It offers customers a one-stop shop for products, colour consultancy, technical specifications, educational materials, and the full Plascon product portfolio — all under one roof.
Speaking at the event, Mayor Nyakua praised Plascon’s investment, calling it “a vote of confidence in Arua’s potential.” He added, “We welcome this partnership, which promises to empower our painters, serve our residents, and boost the economic vibrancy of the West Nile region.”
Plascon views Arua as a strategic hub, serving a vast catchment area that includes Adjumani, Moyo, Terego, Madi-Okollo, Yumbe, Nebbi, Obongi, Maracha, Zombo, and Pakwach districts.
The Colour Hero Stores initiative is part of Plascon’s broader strategy to deepen brand loyalty and enhance expert-driven services across Uganda. These stores are tailored to support professional painters and contractors with the right tools and knowledge while inspiring homeowners and businesses with customized colour solutions.
“At Plascon, we believe colour has the power to transform not just walls, but lives,” said Mr. Santosh Gumte, Managing Director of Plascon Uganda. “This new Colour Hero Store in Arua brings our full expertise to the region — offering quality products, trusted advice, and a strong commitment to our customers and professional painters alike.”
The launch also featured a vibrant march by the Arua Plascon Painters Forum, underscoring the strength and solidarity of the region’s painting professionals. Although more than 100 members participated, the forum represents an even larger network, reflecting the growing demand for premium paint solutions in West Nile.
The opening of the Arua Colour Hero Store marks a major milestone in Plascon’s ongoing expansion strategy, which seeks to reinforce its position as the partner of choice for Uganda’s construction and renovation industry.
