New marketing head appointed at Stanbic Bank

June 19—Daniel Ogong has been appointed Head of Marketing and Communications, Stanbic Bank Uganda.
He joins Stanbic Bank from Nile Breweries where he previously worked for 15 years and served as Marketing Director. He played a pivotal role in building a stable portfolio of brands that saw the company sore to market leadership.
Daniel brings on board a wealth of experience that will reshape Stanbic’s Marketing and Communications strategy to reinforce and help sustain the bank’s position as market leader while supporting the delivery of innovative solutions that respond to today’s customer needs.
It is expected that Daniel’s strong leadership will be instrumental to informing Stanbic’s strategic direction in the market and future goals.
Senior management wishes him all the best in the organisation as it continues on its journey to be the leading provider of financial services in Uganda and Africa as a whole.
SBU is Uganda’s biggest bank with assets of just over UGX4.5 trillion ($1.3 billion) as of June 30th 2016 and a market capitalization of nearly $400 million. SBU is part of the South Africa’s Standard Bank Group through Stanbic Africa Holdings which has an 80% majority stake.
