KAMPALA, AUGUST 10 – Regular shoppers at Nakumatt retail outlets in Kampala must have noticed something odd. For a couple of weeks now, soft drinks in the popular Pepsico and Cocacola not-return plastic bottles have not been available at Nakumatt retail outlets.

Workers at the Acacia Mall branch alluded to some talks between the retail chain and the two bottlers that were ongoing to resolve some “technical issues.”
