BREAKING NEWS: Josephine Wapakhabulo takes NOC top job
KAMPALA, MAY 26 – The contest for the position of Chief Executive of the National Oil Company is effectively over after telecoms engineer Dr. Josephine Wapakhabulo, was selected for the position by the appointing authority.
According to information coming to 256BN, Ms Wapkhabulo, a daughter to deceased former foreign affairs minister and one time Speaker of Parliament James Wapakhabulo has emerged as the favourite for the job and an official announcement is imminent.
The appointment of Josephine who has previously worked with British luxury car maker and most recently State House, hopefully brings to an end acrimonious recruitment process that saw some of the contestants petition the IGG citing anomalies in the process. 256BN will bring updates as more details emerge.
