TAAG Angola goes daily on Luanda-Lagos route
Angolan flag carrier TAAG Angola Airlines will upgrade its Luanda-Lagos service from the current 5x to a daily, starting January 8, 2024.
The surge on the Lagos route follows recent announcements that have brough a boost in services to São Tomé, Windhoek in Namibia, Pointe-Noire in the Republic of Congo and Maputo in Mozambique.
The carrier currently operates flights to Lagos on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday using a Boeing 737-700 aircraft, configured with 102 seats in economy class and 12 in business class. The same aircraft will operate the new schedule that is aimed at growing bosting business traffic between the two countries as Luanda moves to establish itself a regional hub.
“Passengers will benefit from greater availability and flexibility. TAAG is committed to providing quality and convenient services to customers, positioning Angola as a preferred destination or hub for regional and intercontinental connections. Nigeria is one of the largest economies in Africa, and Lagos a key regional destination, for the corporate segment,” the carrier said in a statement.
Based in Luanda, 85-year-old TAAG flies to 12 domestic and 13 international destinations.
