Sumsub Joins Uganda’s Fintech Industry Association FITSPA
Sumsub, a global provider of user verification and compliance solutions, has joined the Financial Technology Service Providers Association (FITSPA), Uganda’s main fintech industry body.
The company’s membership was confirmed today, aligning it with over 200 organizations in Uganda’s digital financial services sector. FITSPA brings together players from banking, telecom, digital lending, payments, and tech, with a focus on regulation, innovation, and industry development.
Sumsub specialises in identity verification, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance tools. The company says its solutions could support fintech operators in Uganda as the industry expands and comes under closer regulatory oversight.
George Ssenkande, FITSPA’s Membership & Programs Lead, said Sumsub’s entry reflects growing interest in Uganda’s fintech ecosystem by global service providers.
Founded in 2017, FITSPA aims to promote secure and inclusive growth in Uganda’s financial technology sector.
